Niel Bushnell

Niel Bushnell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Niel is currently working at Atomhawk Design Ltd as the Cinematic Discipline Lead. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Cinematics Artist at the same company. In 2013, Niel started their own venture called NielBushnell.com where they worked as a writer for various mediums like film, television, books, comics, and audio. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer for Illustration at The Northern School of Art. Before that, Niel worked as the Director at New Writing North from 2015 to 2019. Niel also worked at the University of Sunderland as an Academic Tutor, teaching animation techniques to students from 2013 to 2019. Additionally, Niel worked as a Creative Industry Mentor and Business Development Executive at DigitalCity Business from 2013 to 2015. Niel was also a Patron of Reading at The District CE Primary School from 2014 to 2015. As an author, Niel has two children's books published by Andersen Press. Niel founded Qurios Entertainment in 2002, where they served as the Managing Director and Animation Director until 2013. Niel also worked as a Director at Dene Films Limited from 2009 to 2013, overseeing the animation department and contributing to the company's strategic planning.

Niel Bushnell attended Manor Comprehensive School from 1981 to 1986. Niel then enrolled in Hartlepool Sixth Form College from 1986 to 1988, where they pursued studies in Art/Art Studies.
