Loic Plaire

Loic Plaire has extensive experience in web development and engineering. Loic is currently working as a Principal Design System Engineer at Atomi, where they focus on improving the organization's Design System. Before their employment at Bauer Media, Loic worked at Orchard Marketing as the Interface Team Technical Lead, where they collaborated with the Technical Director to set and enforce technical standards and define the agency's technology roadmap. Loic also performed requirement analysis, produced technical costings, and provided technical approach documentation for projects. In a previous role as a Senior Interface Developer at Orchard Marketing, they developed interfaces for clients such as Nivea, Campbells' Kitchen, MCN, and Pfizer, using technologies like HTML5, CSS3 animation with JS fallback, and Backbone.js. Loic also integrated with Facebook and GoogleMaps APIs.

Loic's career in web development began at Lightbox Digital, where they worked as a Web Developer for over six years. Loic started as a permanent employee in Dublin and then worked as a contractor from various locations. During their time at Lightbox Digital, they worked on numerous websites for clients including Toyota, BMW (Mini), Coca-Cola, RTE Television, and Newstalk Radio.

Loic's professional journey started as a Software Developer at the University of Teesside, where they gained initial experience in the field.

Loic Plaire completed their Associate Degree in Technology in Information Science Engineering from IUT Informatique at the University of La Rochelle in France from 2001 to 2003. Loic then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Internet & Multimedia Engineering, with a focus on online products and services, at IUP Ingemedia at the University of Toulon in France from 2003 to 2005. Following that, they went on to obtain a Master's in Information and Communication Science, specializing in Internet & Multimedia Engineering, from the Institut Ingemedia from 2003 to 2005.
