Do you have prior experience in Consumer Products Licensing? Atomic Cartoon's parent company Thunderbird Entertainment, a public company based in Vancouver, Canada, that produces live action scripted, factual, reality, animated series and movies, is seeking a Director, Consumer Products Licensing, for our Thunderbird Brands group. Thunderbird Entertainment's brands include children’s television series The Last Kids on Earth (Netflix), Mermicorno:Starfall (Max) and general audience series Highway Thru Hell (Discovery).

Thunderbird Entertainment Group is a global award-winning, full-service multiplatform production, distribution and rights management company, headquartered in Vancouver, with offices in Los Angeles and Ottawa. Thunderbird creates award-winning scripted, unscripted, and animated programming for the world’s leading digital platforms, as well as Canadian and international broadcasters. Thunderbird develops, produces, and distributes animated, factual, and scripted content through its various content arms, including Thunderbird Kids and Family (Atomic Cartoons), Thunderbird Unscripted (Great Pacific Media) and Thunderbird Scripted.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Source, negotiate, contract and oversee licenses for the company’s brands in
    North America.
  • Identify, engage and manage licensing sub-agents in international territories.
  • Maintain relationships with consumer products companies including toy,
    publishing, game, apparel, accessories and other key categories.
  • Manage product approvals.
  • Coordinate retail placement with content platforms to maximize product sales in
    major markets in conjunction with the company’s Distribution group.
  • Partner with the company’s, licensees’ and media platforms’ Marketing groups on
    consumer awareness initiatives and fan engagement.
  • Support the company’s Finance group regarding licensee revenue statements
    and payments.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Prior experience in a similar role relating to consumer products and licensing.
  • An employment history that includes successful consumer products licenses with top
    brands.
  • An ability to successfully communicate with and fulfill the needs of our global licensees.
  • Familiarity with consumer products license agreements.
  • An ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Able to work in our Burbank, CA office.

START DATE: TBD

This is currently a Hybrid role. Remote/Work from Home Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesdays and Thursday are in office at the Burbank,CA office. This is subject to change based on department needs.

At Atomic Cartoons and Thunderbird Entertainment, we take into consideration a wide range of compensation factors including background, skills, location, and experience to determine competitive base pay. In addition to competitive base pay, this position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Please note: This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. 

LA Pay Range
$125,000$150,000 USD
