Karen Shakespear Koenig has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an overnight baker at The Biscuit Bakery and Cafe in 2006. In 2009, they took on an Engineering Design Internship at Impres Medical, as well as a Teaching Assistant role at the Product Realization Laboratory. In 2010, they were a MISTRAL Engineering Fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine, and in 2011 they were a Lecturer at Stanford University and a Senior Research Engineer at SRI International. In 2015, they became the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Verb Surgical, and in 2020 they were the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Johnson & Johnson and the VP of Hardware Engineering and Director of HW Engineering at Vicarious. Most recently, in 2022, they became the VP of AMP Engineering at Atomic Machines.
Karen Shakespear Koenig achieved their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Physics from Harvey Mudd College between 2002 and 2006. Karen then went on to receive their Master of Science degree in Engineering, with a focus on Product Design, from Stanford University between 2008 and 2010.
