Marta D'Elia

Marta D'Elia currently holds the position of Director of AI and Modeling & Simulation at Atomic Machines since October 2024 and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University since December 2022. Previously, Marta was Principal Scientist and SciML Lead at Pasteur Labs & ISI, focusing on Scientific Machine Learning, specifically developing differentiable surrogates and inverse engineering solutions for the CAE industry. Marta has extensive experience as a Principal Scientist at Meta and has held various roles at Sandia National Laboratories, including Principal and Senior Member of Technical Staff. Early academic contributions include a postdoctoral fellowship at Florida State University, involving optimal control and parameter estimation for nonlocal diffusion problems. Marta's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Emory University and multiple degrees in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
