Srimukh Prasad

Scientist, Cheminformatics at Atomwise

Srimukh Prasad is a scientist who specializes in Cheminformatics. Srimukh received their undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science in 2012. Srimukh then went on to do their graduate work at the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned their PhD in 2020. Their research has focused on the development of theoretical and computational methods for studying chemical systems. In particular, they have developed a method for calculating the rate of charge transfer between adjacent nucleobases in DNA strands, which is in agreement with experimental data. Srimukh has also worked on developing methods for hydrogen storage and benchmarking the performance of density functional approximations.

Srimukh Prasad reports to Kate Stafford, Director, Cheminformatics. They work with Kehinde Ajayi - Senior Scientist, Cheminformatics, Michael Mysinger - Principal Scientist, Cheminformatics, and Chetan Rupakheti - Scientist, Cheminformatics.
