Andrew Azzopardi

Andrew Azzopardi is a seasoned professional in safeguarding with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Safeguarding at ATP Tour since March 2023, Andrew leads the implementation and monitoring of safeguarding strategies for vulnerable populations. Previous roles include Senior Associate at the Proteknôn Foundation, Safeguarding Advisor at the Centre for Sport and Human Rights, and Director of the Safeguarding Commission. Andrew has also contributed as the Independent Member of the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Committee for the Church of England and as Coordinator for the Vatican Safeguarding Task Force. With a robust background in safeguarding, including past positions such as Director at Fondazzjoni Sebħ and Safeguarding Manager at The Football Association, Andrew's expertise is underpinned by an MA in International Politics & Human Rights from City St George’s, University of London, and a BA in Social Work from the University of Malta.
