Ikenna Ibe M.D.

Ikenna Ibe MD, MPH, MBA, FACP currently serves as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President at Atrium Health since June 2023. Prior to this role, Ikenna Ibe was Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital from November 2018 to June 2023, and previously held the position of Medical Director and Chief Hospitalist at Sound Physicians @ Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital from October 2016 to September 2018. Earlier career experiences include serving as a Physician and Associate Medical Director of the Hospitalist Group at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital from 2009 to 2018, and completing a fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Yale University from July 2007 to June 2009. Ikenna Ibe holds an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University, along with an MPH from Yale School of Public Health. The medical degree, MBBCh in Medicine/Surgery, was obtained from the University of Calabar.
