Katie Passaretti, MD, FIDSA is a Clinical Professor of Infectious Diseases at Wake Forest University School of Medicine since July 2023. Prior to their current position, they served as Vice President and Enterprise Chief Epidemiologist at Atrium Health starting October 2021. From April 2011 to November 2021, they held the roles of Medical Director of Health System Infection Prevention and Associate Professor of Medicine at Carolinas Healthcare System. Katie also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from April 2011 to November 2021. Before that, they served as a Hospital Epidemiologist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center from July 2008 to April 2011 and as an Assistant Professor of Transplant Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins Hospital from June 2008 to July 2008.
Katie Passaretti, MD, FIDSA completed their education at The Johns Hopkins University. Katie earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from 1998 to 2002 at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, specializing in the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
