Mike Suman

Mike Suman has a diverse work experience in various roles within different companies. Mike began their career in 1995 as a Software Engineer at Alion Science and Technology (formerly IITRI) and worked there until 2001. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Consultant at TotalSumParts. In 2004, they joined AAMC as a Lead Software Engineer and remained there until 2014. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operations Officer at Applied Training Solutions, a role they assumed in May 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Applied Training Solutions from January 2015.

Mike Suman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh from 1990 to 1994. Mike then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University from 1998 to 2000. Prior to their college education, Mike completed their high school education at Greensburg-Salem High School, where they obtained a diploma in 1990.

In addition to their formal education, Mike Suman has also obtained various certifications in the field of Agile and Scrum. Mike became a Certified ScrumMaster in October 2016 and acquired the Certified Scrum Product Owner designation in November 2016. In May 2017, Mike achieved the Certified Scrum Professional certification. Later, in June 2018, they became a Certified Agile Leader. Most recently, in April 2021, Mike Suman acquired the Scrum Foundations Educator certification from the Scrum Alliance.
