Eric Solie

While living and working in countries around the world, from Europe to the Middle East, Eric became fascinated by the universal similarities - and differences - of how people communicate nonverbally. Recognizing the attractive power of video and realizing the opportunity for computing technology to quantify nonverbal signals at scale, he set about developing that dataset to better understand the cognitive impacts of video media. A serial entrepreneur who founded two successful companies prior to Attently, Eric's academic background is in the social sciences, with his undergraduate work focusing on anthropology, archaeology, and linguistics with his graduate work in underwater archaeology in the middle east.
