Alex Porter

Import Specialist at Atticus

Alex Porter is the Import Specialist at Atticus. Previously, they worked as an Import Export Specialist at ADAMA US from May 2018 to August 2021. There, they facilitated sample shipment clearance and delivery for non-EPA registered materials; prepared intended purpose documentation (e.g. notice of arrival, TSCA statement); and conducted critical final review of all documentation details to ensure correctness.

In 2020, they introduced new software to streamline the processes for cross-warehouse inventory transfers and shipment of sales; led the testing for and managed the implementation of this major overhaul in warehouse shipment procedures. Currently, Alex serves as the primary supervisor for software roll-out in warehouses across the United States; have conducted virtual trainings over six months to review new procedures, provide demonstrations, and resolve any issues with implementation.

Prior to working at ADAMA US, Alex worked as a Biological Material Movement Assistant at Bayer Crop Science from September 2016 to May 2018.

Alex Porter graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs. They also have certifications from LinkedIn in Lean Six Sigma Foundations, Lean Six Sigma: Define and Measure Tools, and Logistics Foundations.
