Damian Kowalewski

Damian Kowalewski has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Damian is currently the CEO & Founder of Attimis Corporation, a position they assumed in September 2021. Prior to this, Damian held the position of Senior Director of Software Engineering at RStor from September 2019 to July 2021. Damian also served as the Elder of the Internet at RStor from March 2018 to September 2019.

Before joining RStor, Damian worked at Facebook as a bit magician and scientist from May 2012 to February 2018. Damian has also worked at Hewlett-Packard as the Manager of the webOS Linux Group from October 2010 to May 2012, where they led a team of engineers in designing and implementing APIs for multiple platforms and devices.

Damian's experience includes managerial roles at Palm Inc. as the Manager of the Media Framework from July 2009 to October 2010 and as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2005 to July 2009. At Palm Inc., they led a team in implementing media services on the webOS platform and designed the subsystem for audio routing.

Prior to Palm Inc., Damian worked at Sony Electronics Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer from 2002 to 2005. During this time, they designed and implemented software frameworks for embedded devices. Damian was responsible for assigning functionalities to different software layers on StrongARM and XScale platforms.

Damian's career began as a Software Engineer at Transvirtual Technologies Inc., where they developed native graphics libraries for embedded platforms and maintained parts of the Kaffe Java Virtual Machine.

Damian also served as a Graduate Student at McGill University from 1997 to 2000.

Damian Kowalewski obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from McGill University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Damian then pursued further education and completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science at McGill University from 1998 to 2000.
