Cynthia A. Phillips, PhD

Cynthia A. Phillips, PhD has a long and varied career in the fields of venture capital, technology, and business. In 2022, they founded 22nd Century by Design Solutions, a venture development and solutions scaling partner focused on bringing disruptive technologies to scale. In 2021, Cynthia became a Venture Partner at Renew Venture Capital, and Vice President Partner Relations at Attobahn, Inc. In 2020, they founded The Disruptive Quarterly, and became a Contributing Editor for ESG at Business Reporter. From 2018 to 2019, Cynthia was an Advisor for BioLargo, Inc., Turnkey Group, and a Board Member for Verum Inventa. In 2019, they also joined AZENTIVE as an Advisory Board Member. Finally, from 2008 to 2017, Cynthia was the Founder of C A Phillips & Company, an independent consultancy.

Cynthia A. Phillips, PhD obtained their B.A. in Economics & Statistics from the University of Michigan. Cynthia A. then went on to earn a Doctorate in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University. After that, they obtained their Masters in Economics from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Arts - MA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
