Dr. Efraín Zarazúa Arvizu

Efraín Zarazúa-Arvizu, PhD, is a Research and Development Scientist at ATUM, specializing in innovative solutions through SynBio and biotechnology since October 2022. Prior experience includes serving as an Entrepreneurial Lead at NCprots, where market discovery research aimed to transition academic innovations into the marketplace, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Edinburgh, focusing on scaling up protein nanocages for biotechnology manufacturing. Efraín also demonstrated laboratory practicals in cell and molecular biology for undergraduate students at The University of Edinburgh, worked as a Research Assistant at the Autonomous University of Queretaro conducting molecular biology assays, and provided strategic advisement for social programs with the Queretaro State Government. Efraín holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from The University of Edinburgh, an MSc in Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology, and a Licentiate degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro.
