Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Utilities Engineer to join our civil land development team! The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading the design and implementation of utility infrastructure for residential and commercial projects throughout Texas. This is a remote position but must be based in Texas, ideally in Dallas, Austin, or Houston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of utility infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, and dry utilities for residential and commercial developments.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and utility capacity analyses.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction plans, and specifications in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices to ensure innovative and sustainable solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in utility engineering, with a focus on civil land development.
- Candidate must primarily demonstrate proven experience in the design of Elevated and Ground Storage Tanks, Pump Stations, Lift Stations and Water/Sanitary Sewer Transmission Mains, TCEQ permitting.
- Experience with Municipal Utility Districts is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing and delivering residential and commercial utility infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS applications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
