Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Utilities Engineer to join our civil land development team! The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading the design and implementation of utility infrastructure for residential and commercial projects throughout Texas. This is a remote position but must be based in Texas, ideally in Dallas, Austin, or Houston.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of utility infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, and dry utilities for residential and commercial developments.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and utility capacity analyses.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction plans, and specifications in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices to ensure innovative and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in utility engineering, with a focus on civil land development.
  • Candidate must primarily demonstrate proven experience in the design of Elevated and Ground Storage Tanks, Pump Stations, Lift Stations and Water/Sanitary Sewer Transmission Mains, TCEQ permitting.
  • Experience with Municipal Utility Districts is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering residential and commercial utility infrastructure projects.
  • Strong proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS applications.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation Range
$120,000$150,000 USD
