Christopher Larsen

Christopher Larsen has worked as a Software Engineer at aTyr Pharma since April 2020. In this role, they are responsible for developing software products for research purposes. Christopher has reduced the cost of sample analysis by 90% through the creation of a data analytics platform and has also designed and created data pipelines to feed into the analytics platform.

Prior to their current position, Larsen worked as a Data Engineer at Quantiphi from March 2019 to April 2020.

Before that, Larsen held multiple roles at aTyr Pharma. From February 2018 to April 2019, they worked as a Senior System Engineer, where they created the company's cloud infrastructure, developed a machine learning pipeline for automated video analysis, and developed a platform for resource-intensive workflows to leverage cloud resources. From February 2017 to February 2018, they worked as an Associate System Analyst, responsible for creating the company's lab instrument database, administering the help desk, and assisting in the implementation of new SAN and networking components. From June 2013 to February 2017, they worked as an IT Staff member, in charge of IT requirements for new hires, assisting in the virtualization of the on-premises environment, and purchasing for the IT department.

Larsen's earliest work experience was as an Advanced Repair Agent at Geek Squad from May 2011 to June 2013. In this role, they repaired software and hardware issues, troubleshooted customer issues with excellent customer service and detailed documentation, and recommended software and hardware upgrades.

Christopher Larsen completed their education from 2011 to 2014 at Palomar College, where they studied Computer Science without obtaining a degree. Christopher then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from California State University San Marcos from 2015 to 2017. In terms of additional certifications, Christopher obtained the CompTIA A+ certification in April 2013 and the CompTIA Network+ certification in July 2014, both from CompTIA. Christopher also achieved the Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer certification from Google Cloud Platform Certified in February 2019.
