David Siefker

David Siefker has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmaceuticals and research. David is currently working as a Scientist II at aTyr Pharma since June 2021. Prior to this, David worked at HD Biosciences as a Senior Scientist from September 2020 to June 2021 and as a Scientist II from September 2019 to September 2020. David also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Louisiana State University from December 2017 to September 2019, and at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from July 2014 to December 2017. David has a strong academic background as well, having worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Miami from September 2007 to July 2014. David began their career as a Research Technician at The Scripps Research Institute from March 2005 to September 2007, where they conducted research on cloning and purifying therapeutic fusion proteins from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.

David Siefker obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Miami, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and Immunology from 2007 to 2014.
