Ryan Adams

Senior Director - In Vitro Biology at aTyr Pharma

Ryan Adams has a solid background in the field of biology, with a focus on in vitro research. Ryan started their career as a graduate student at the University of California San Diego in 1996 and completed their studies in 2002. Following that, they worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the same university from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, Ryan joined aTyr Pharma, where they held various positions over the years, starting as a Scientist and progressing to Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, Associate Director, and most recently, Director of In Vitro Biology. Ryan's expertise lies in conducting research and leading teams in the field of in vitro biology.

Ryan Adams attended Punahou School from 1988 to 1991. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Santa Clara University from 1991 to 1995. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UC San Diego, which they completed between 1996 and 2002.
