John Marcell

John Marcell serves as an Engineering Technician in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Auburn University since February 2018, while also holding the position of Engineering Technician IV since February 1999. In the role with the CAVE Center for Advanced Vehicle Electronics, John Marcell specializes in the installation and servicing of equipment for testing prototype circuit boards for industry partners. Prior to this, John Marcell worked at the Advanced Propulsion Research Lab at Auburn University from 1999 to January 2010 as Engineering Technician IV, and spent over 27 years at IBM in various roles, culminating as Marketing Manager before retirement in September 1993. John Marcell began education in Electrical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University from 1963 to 1966, although no degree was obtained.
