Patrick Johnston

Patrick Johnston is an experienced professional in human resources and communications, currently serving as the Manager of HR Administration and Strategic Initiatives at Auburn University since August 2015. Prior to this role, Patrick held positions as Communications and Marketing Specialist within the Human Resources department at Auburn University, and as Managing Editor at Opelika-Auburn News from April 2013 to August 2015. Earlier experience includes managing editorial roles at Eufaula Tribune Publishing Co. and Shelby County Reporter, as well as a position as News and Sports Editor/Writer at The Eufaula Tribune. Patrick Johnston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Alabama and a Master's in Business Administration from Troy University, complemented by training from the Alabama Press Association Newspaper Management Institute.
