Sarah Smith

Sarah Smith is an accomplished architecture and project management professional with extensive experience in higher education institutions. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Planning & Design and previously as the Director of Capital Projects at Auburn University since October 2019, Sarah Smith has a solid track record in managing capital projects and contributing to master planning initiatives. Prior to this role, Sarah Smith was a Project Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from November 2015 to September 2019, where responsibilities included overseeing capital projects and participating in strategic planning. Earlier experience includes positions such as Campus Architect IV at Auburn University, Residential Designer in private consulting, and various intern architect roles, all of which provided a strong foundation in design development and documentation. Sarah Smith holds a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University.
