Dr Pouria Bigvand

Dr. Pouria Bigvand has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dr Pouria is currently a Member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN), a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at AUCOTEC USA starting from October 2019.

Dr. Bigvand has also held multiple positions at AUCOTEC, including Executive Director of Product Management starting from April 2017, Product Manager from June 2015 to April 2017, and Senior Application Consultant from September 2013 to June 2015. In their role as a Senior Application Consultant, they conducted workflow analysis and led the consultation team for 15 international companies, resulting in a substantial order income of €4.2M for the deployment of recommended workflows and software. Additionally, they were a Product Designer at AUCOTEC from October 2012 to September 2013.

Furthermore, Dr. Bigvand worked as an Associate Researcher at ABB from July 2015 to December 2016. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CEO of Petromakam Ltd. from April 2008 to December 2009. Dr Pouria began their professional career as a Process Engineer at ALICO Ltd. in October 2006, where they worked until February 2008.

Dr Pouria Bigvand holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, which they obtained from 2014 to 2018. Dr Pouria pursued a Master of Laws - LLM degree in International Business Law with a focus on Oil & Gas and Renewables from City, University of London, from 2021 to 2022. In 2018 to 2019, they completed a business administration and management program at Harvard Business School Online. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science - MS degree in Process System Engineering from TU Dortmund University from 2010 to 2012. In 2009, they obtained a Master of Science - MS degree in Petroleum Engineering from SRBIAU, and in 2006, they completed a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Azad University (IAU).
