Jörg Schlagbauer

Vice Chairman at Audi

Jörg Schlagbauer has been a Member of the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG since February 7, 2006.

Schlagbauer was born in Kösching (Eichstätt), Germany, on September 19, 1977. He began his vocational training as an industrial clerk at AUDI AG in 1995. He subsequently worked as a clerical assistant in the accounts receivable department in 1998. In addition to his professional posts, he studied at the administration and business academy in Munich from 1999 until 2003, graduating with a degree in business management.

Schlagbauer has been active in the area of employee representation since 1997 – initially as a member, later as Vice Chairman and, from 1999, as Chairman of the Youth and Trainee Representation as well as the General Youth and Trainee Representation. In 2002, he became a Member of the Works Council at Audi. Since 2006, he has been a Member of the General Works Council, the Economic Committee and the Supervisory Board as well as the Executive Works Committee of the Works Council. He has been a Member (since 2010) and Vice Chairman (since 2017) of the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board. Schlagbauer has also worked for IG Metall Ingolstadt and Bavaria since 1995. In addition to his role as a workers’ representative, he has been a member of the IG Metall committee of workers’ representatives at Audi since 1999. From 2004, he worked in a voluntary capacity initially as Vice Chairman and since 2006 as Chairman of IG Metall at Audi.

Alongside his professional responsibilities, Jörg Schlagbauer has been Chairman of the Administrative Board of Audi BKK since 2010, and Chairman of the Administrative Board of the BKK Landesverband Bayern since 2011. In 2014, he was also elected Deputy Leader of the SPD on the Ingolstadt City Council and became a member of the Administrative Board of Sparkasse Ingolstadt.
