Melissa Clark is a seasoned writer, creator, and educator with extensive experience in storytelling across various mediums. Currently a Senior Lecturer at Otis College of Art and Design, Melissa teaches Fundamentals of Storytelling in the Animation Department. As the host of The Writing Pool Podcast since April 2022, Melissa supports writers in advancing their creative endeavors. Melissa's portfolio includes the creation and production of children's scripted podcasts like "Grandma For President" on Audible and "Becoming Mother Nature" for Gen-Z Media. With over 25 years in writing, Melissa also serves as a writing coach, helping individuals across genres, while previously developing literature and creative writing courses at Otis College. Notable past work includes the creation and writing of the animated television show "Braceface" and contributions to "Rolie Polie Olie." Melissa holds a BFA in Professional Writing and Publishing from Emerson College and an MA in English/Creative Writing from the University of California, Davis.
