Joel Brito

Joel Brito has extensive experience in the audio and video industry, currently serving as the Director at Vikel Som Video since January 1983. Brito has held various leadership positions within the Audio Engineering Society Brazil Section, including President, Treasurer, and Vice-President for the Latin America Region. As Secretary of the ABNT Commission for Audio and Multimedia Standards, Brito leads the working group for the technical norm on speech intelligibility assessment. Brito's consultancy experience includes project design with ARS Audio e Acustica and a partnership at Environmental Solutions Consultoria until 2020. Previous roles include serving as President of Polo Rio de Cine e Video and as Technical Consultant for Editorial Bolina. Brito's educational background includes post-graduate studies in Telecommunications from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and ongoing studies in Engineering at UERJ since 1983.
