Stephen Cummings

Stephen Cummings is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Iowa School of Social Work, with a career spanning various roles since July 2012. Cummings has also served as an audiobook reviewer for AudioFile Magazine since March 2016 and contributed as a writer for The New Social Worker Magazine from January 2018 to September 2021, focusing on technology in social work practice. Previous experience includes partnership and digital content coordination at MacroSW, Inc. from November 2016 to June 2020, along with progressing roles at University of Iowa Health Care from April 2002 to June 2012. Cummings has an extensive teaching background as an adjunct instructor at the University of Iowa School of Social Work and as a teaching assistant at the University of Iowa. Prior experience includes fostering job opportunities for individuals with disabilities at Systems Unlimited, Inc., and serving as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan. Cummings holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa.
