Louis-Xavier Buffoni has a diverse and extensive work experience. Louis-Xavier started their career as a Software Developer in Artificial Vision at Solvision in 1999. Louis-Xavier then worked as a Research Associate in Microelectronics at École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2001 and as a Lab Lecturer at the same institution from 2002 to 2004.

In 2002, Buffoni joined Polystim as a Masters Student in Microelectronics, where they stayed until 2004.

From 2004 to 2009, Buffoni co-founded and worked as a Technical Director & Sound Designer at La Façade, an experimental audiovisuals studio.

In 2005, Buffoni began their journey at Audiokinetic, a leader in interactive audio technology, as a Software Developer. Throughout the years, they progressed within the company and held positions such as DSP Specialist, Director of Development, and Director of Research and Development. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Research, leading a team of developers, consultants, and academics. Louis-Xavier'swork focuses on research and innovation in the areas of spatial audio, virtual acoustics, sound modeling and synthesis, and artificial intelligence.

Buffoni also had a brief stint at Electronic Arts in 2009 as a Sound Programmer Consultant.

Louis-Xavier Buffoni has a strong educational background in electrical engineering.
