Jan van Schalkwyk

Jan van Schalkwyk is a corporate executive in the office of the Auditor-General at the Auditor-General of South Africa. Jan has also worked as a trainee auditor and audit manager at Deloitte South Africa from January 1991 to December 1996. During their time at Deloitte, they were involved in audits for various companies, including CSIR, Landbank, National Sorghum Breweries, Barlow Motor Holdings, Capital Motors, and Tongaat Cotton. Jan also spent several years in consulting assignments at the Auditor-General South Africa, where they were involved in strategic planning, process re-engineering, development of frameworks for internal control, due diligence reviews, and financial management.

Jan van Schalkwyk studied at the University of Pretoria, where they obtained a B Com (Hons) CTA in Accounting and Auditing. Jan is a CA(SA) from SAICA and an FCCA from ACCA. Jan is also a Registered Auditor from the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors.

Jan van Schalkwyk works with Solomon Segooa - Audit Corporate Executive, Tsakani Maluleke - Deputy Auditor-General, and Sibongiseni Ngoma - Chief Financial Officer. Their manager is Thembekile Kimi Makwetu, Auditor-General.
