Mabatho Sedikela

Mabatho Sedikela is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in auditing and taxation, currently serving as the Head of Audit - Provincial at the Auditor-General of South Africa from April 2010 to June 2024. In this role, Mabatho provides strategic leadership and overall management of the audit portfolio within provincial government, while also serving on the Executive Committee and supporting the Deputy Auditor General. Previous positions include Corporate Audit Executive, leading governance structures and high-performing audit teams, and Business Executive, managing the Gauteng Province Business Unit to ensure quality audits. Prior to joining the Auditor-General, Mabatho held the position of Senior Corporate Tax Manager at Deloitte, with a proven track record in corporate taxation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Commerce in Taxation from the University of Johannesburg, a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics from the University of Cape Town.
