Ali holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship from the University of Cape Town, a Master's degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from Coventry University London, and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science in Oenology & Viticulture from Stellenbosch University.
