Lauren Smith has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lauren began their career in 2007 as a Project Executive for Home Retail Group PLC, where they managed the implementation of a new point of sale system in Homebase stores. In 2009, they joined Topdeck Travel as a Tour Leader, responsible for managing groups of up to 48 people and coordinating various activities. Lauren later became an Assistant Crew Manager, ensuring the smooth running of on-road operations.
In 2012, Lauren joined Audley Travel as a Southeast Asia Specialist, where they planned and implemented tailor-made itineraries for travelers to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Lauren then moved on to become a Sales Consultant for Real Journeys, where they sold a wide range of products and excursions while providing up-to-date tourist information about New Zealand.
Returning to Audley Travel in 2014, Lauren took on the role of a Senior Indian Subcontinent Specialist, before being promoted to Regional Sales Manager. In this position, they focused on maximizing sales and productivity of a team of Country Specialists, while also delivering excellent service and increasing conversion rates from enquiries to bookings.
Throughout their career, Lauren has demonstrated strong leadership skills, adaptability to change, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Lauren Smith attended the University of Nottingham from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued a degree in Ancient History and Archaeology. Their field of study during this time was focused on Ancient History and Archaeology.
