Anne Elizabeth Brown Long grew up in Doswell, Virginia and has lived in New Orleans since 1994. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and moved to New Orleans after marrying William Paul Long. She received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her internship in general surgery and her residency in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery—at Tulane University, benefiting from training at Charity Hospital New Orleans. She currently works as an otolaryngologist at Oschner Medical Center. Anne and her husband have two children. She chaired Audubon’s Zoo-to-Do for Kids in 2013. She is a board member for Crescent City Tennis Association and previously served as the secretary to the board for the Junior League of New Orleans, where she is currently a sustaining member. She has enjoyed co-chairing events for Preservation Resource Center and Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses as well as serving on various committees for Audubon Nature Institute, Preservation Resource Center, New Orleans Museum of Art, Children's Hospital New Orleans, and the Louisiana Children's Museum, in addition to volunteering at her children's school, Metairie Park Country Day and Trinity Episcopal Church.
