Oscar Rosello

Head of Design at Augmental Tech

Oscar Rosello is an experienced designer and researcher with a background in architecture, computer science, and psychology. Oscar has held various positions since 2010, beginning with an architectural intern at XVA Arquitectura. Oscar then worked as a research assistant at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and as a praktikant at Gramazio Kohler Architects ETH SIA BSA. In 2011, they established Oscar Rosello Design, where they provided design consultancy services and produced commercial retail photography. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a project architect at EM2N Architekten AG, designing over 20 national and international competition projects. In 2016, they began working at the MIT Media Lab as a graduate researcher in the Fluid Interfaces Group, where they conceived, developed, and tested wearable devices for cognitive enhancement. Oscar also served as a graduate teaching assistant in Human-Computer Interaction for Pattie Maes's MAS. S60 Human Machine Symbiosis class. In 2018, they began working as a graduate researcher at Harvard University in the Ellen Langer Mindfulness and Health Lab, where they collaborated with Prof. Ellen Langer on developing wearable devices for facilitating mindfulness and self-awareness. In 2019, they served as a design studio jury at the Boston Architectural College. In 2022, they began working as the Head of Design at Augmental.

Oscar Rosello has a long and varied educational history. Oscar began their studies at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from 2005 to 2009 and a Master of Architecture (MArch) from 2009 to 2011. Oscar then moved to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (MS EECS) from 2015 to 2017, a Master of Science in Design and Computation (SMarchS) from 2015 to 2017, and a Master of Science in Media Arts and Sciences (MAS) from 2017 to 2019.
