Rachel McFatridge has extensive experience in financial management, currently serving as Budget Manager for the Augusta, Georgia Government since June 2018, previously holding roles as Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst, and Senior Accountant. Prior to this, Rachel worked as an Accountant for Dawson County Government from June 2014 to June 2018. Rachel's career began at the UNG Library and Technology Center, where as a Student Assistant from August 2010 to May 2014, responsibilities included customer service, inventory management, and website content uploads. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of North Georgia, earned in 2014.

Proudly, we are considered one of the “Cyber Security Capitals of the World.” We are also well known as the home of “Soul Brother Number One,” James Brown. There are seven colleges and universities in the city. Seven other college and universities are within 70 miles of Augusta. The public school system has 8 high schools, 9 middle schools, 33 elementary schools and 3 magnet schools.
