Laura Camacho

Laura Camacho is an accomplished music professional with extensive experience in performance, teaching, and composition. Currently serving as a Music Faculty member at Tanguero Inc since July 2022, Camacho has demonstrated versatility as a Freelance Double Bassist for various ensembles, including the A. Ziegler Tango Quartet and the Augusta Symphony since 2005 and 2010, respectively. As a Music Director for the Athens Tango Project since June 2012 and a Music Composer for diverse media since January 2015, Camacho has contributed significantly to the creative arts. Previous roles include a Music Teacher at Rollins Child Development Center and an instructor for youth orchestras in Buenos Aires. Camacho holds multiple degrees in Music Performance, specializing in Double Bass, from the University of Georgia and the Conservatorio de Musica Instituto Universitario Nacional de las Artes.
