Augusta Symphony
Nyamka Odsuren is a highly accomplished violinist and educator with extensive experience in orchestral performance and conducting. Currently a violinist with the South Carolina Philharmonic, Augusta Symphony, Spartanburg Philharmonic, Long Bay Symphony, and Aiken Symphony Orchestra, Nyamka also serves as Personnel Manager and Assistant Conductor for the Rock Hill Symphony Orchestra. Previously, Nyamka held the position of Adjunct Professor of Violin and Viola at Presbyterian College and conducted the Long Bay Youth Symphony. Nyamka's educational background includes a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Orchestral Conducting from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting and Violin Performance from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from Methodist University. Additionally, Nyamka obtained an International Baccalaurate from UWC Adriatic.

Augusta Symphony is the primary professional orchestra for Augusta’s River Region and pursues its mission to "share the joy of great musical performance with our community – together we are music" through annual symphonic, Pops, and family concerts that reach approximately 20,000 people each year.
