Colin Irvine

As provost and executive vice president, Dr. Colin Irvine oversees academic affairs; student affairs; graduate and continuing education; the Student Success Center; international programs; library services; performing and visual arts; the office of the registrar; and institutional assessment. Most recently, Dr. Irvine served as senior vice president for academic affairs and dean at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. Prior to joining Carroll, he spent 12 years as a professor of English, education, and environmental studies at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, during which time he also taught abroad in Norway and China. Dr. Irvine is the recipient of three teaching excellence awards and three Fulbrights. Dr. Irvine holds a B.A. from Carroll College, a master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a Ph.D. from Marquette University.
