Cory Brown

Cory Brown has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and frontend development. Starting in 2008, Cory worked as a Senior Front End Developer for Isagenix, where they implemented website redesigns and maintained corporate websites. From 2009 to 2012, Cory served as the Chief Creative Officer at Room 265. Cory then founded their own design company, 1st Draft Design, where they served as the Owner/Designer and also worked as a Freelance Designer. During this time, Cory developed websites, created logos, and designed branding collateral.

In 2011, Cory joined the National Geographic Society as a Senior Web Developer, where they collaborated with a talented team to develop a custom CMS and focused on delivering optimized frontend solutions. From 2013 to 2016, Cory worked at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the Front End Stack Team Lead, where they established development standards, created starters, and maintained Angular applications.

Cory's frontend engineering expertise continued at LeisureLink Inc., where they served as the Front End Lead Engineer and developed vacation rental distribution software. At Jane.com, Cory worked as a Front End Developer, building and maintaining the React/Redux frontend for the e-commerce boutique marketplace. Cory then joined Nav Inc. as a Staff Frontend Engineer and later became the Frontend Manager/Staff Engineer, leading a team to streamline product work and create frontend platforms and tools.

In 2021, Cory joined Facebook as a Software Engineer on the Business Inbox team, focusing on performance and quality-related projects. Currently, Cory works as the Vice President Lead Software Engineer at Aumni since October 2023.

Cory Brown earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications: Advertising from Brigham Young University - Idaho between 1999 and 2005.
