Gabriel Torres, Ph.D. has an extensive work experience in various roles and organisations. Gabriel is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at AURA Network Systems since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon as a Sr. Technical Program Manager from October 2019 to July 2021. In 2019, Gabriel founded Xplorel and served as its Founder until October 2019.

Before their entrepreneurial venture, Gabriel held the position of Co-Founder and CEO at MicaSense, Inc. from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they worked at AeroVironment, Inc. for over a decade, starting in 2002. During their tenure, Gabriel held the role of Project/Program Manager & Chief Engineer.

Gabriel's career began with research assistant roles at the University of Notre Dame from 1998 to 2002 and at the University of Florida from 1995 to 1998.

Gabriel Torres, Ph.D., completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Florida from 1993 to 1998. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Notre Dame, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from 1998 to 2002.
