Mahmood Haghshenas

Mahmood Haghshenas is a highly experienced professional in electrical power engineering with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as Principal HV Primary Engineer at Partum Engineering Pty Ltd since January 2024 and Principal T&D Lead at Aurecon since July 2021, Mahmood has led high voltage design teams on various rail and utility projects. Previous roles include Principal T&D Engineer at Aecom Australia Holdings Pty Ltd and Senior Associate at SMEC Australia, focusing on rail electrification and high voltage traction systems design. Additional experience includes positions at Siemens, Kharazm Power Engineers, and other notable firms, where Mahmood was involved in electrical system design, testing and commissioning, and power system consultancy. Mahmood holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from K.N.T. University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tehran.
