Christian Mathesius

Christian Mathesius is an experienced executive with a robust background in leading and transforming businesses across various industries. Currently serving as Managing Director at AURELIUS GROUP since April 2023, Mathesius previously held the role of CEO and member of the executive board at Franke Foodservice Systems from January 2019 to May 2022, where notable achievements included record sales of CHF 1.1 billion and significant operational enhancements. Prior to this, as President of the EMEA Business Unit at Franke Foodservice Systems from 2012 to 2018, Mathesius drove a 60% sales growth, expanding the customer base in key regions. Earlier professional roles included Marketing Director and Head of Business Segment DX at Hilti Group, where substantial sales and profitability growth were achieved, as well as a consultancy position at The Boston Consulting Group focused on strategic and commercial projects. Mathesius began his career as an engineer and project manager at Siemens, contributing to the development of the USB connector standard. Educational qualifications include an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
