Tasim Begum

Tasim Begum is an experienced professional in pharmacovigilance and safety evaluation, currently serving as the Lead of Pharmacovigilance Science at Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. since August 2022, where Tasim is the inaugural head of the Pharmacovigilance Medical/Science Pillar in Global Patient Safety. Prior to this role, Tasim spent 15 years at GSK, holding several key positions including Manager of Safety Evaluation and Risk Management, Head of the Case Management Group, and Principal Clinical Safety Scientist, where responsibilities encompassed signal detection, risk management activities, and leadership of a global case management team. Tasim holds a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from UCL and a BSc in Toxicology and Pharmacology from The School of Pharmacy, University of London.
