Paul Begley

Paul Begley has over 20 years of work experience in the field of technology and information systems. Paul currently serves as the Head of Technology & Facilities at Aurizon, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Information Officer at Sunwater from July 2020 to August 2021. In 2020, they also worked as an ICT Strategic Advisor. Paul's earlier experience includes various roles at Rio Tinto, where they served as the Chief Advisor for Asia Pacific East, Head of Product Group Business Partner, General Manager of Technology Operations, Manager of Applications APAC, Global Manager of Applications & Consulting, Manager of Systems Architecture, and Senior Systems Engineer.

Paul Begley holds a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies degree in Exercise Physiology from The University of Queensland, obtained from 1988 to 1990. Paul also has a Post Graduate Diploma of Information Systems Management from CQUniversity, completed in 2001. In 2005, Paul completed the Building on Talent program in Organizational Leadership at IMD. In 2018, they undertook the Orchestrating Winning Performance program, also in Organizational Leadership, at IMD. Additionally, they obtained the Graduate Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2015.
