Harvey Scher

Harvey Scher is the current Vice President of Engineering at Auro Hotels. Prior to this, they were a corporate director of engineering at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, luxury brands group. There, they planned, directed, and coordinated all engineering operations, development, construction and renovations, and custodial capital requirements for St. Regis Hotels, W Hotels Worldwide, and Luxury Collection Hotels with an emphasis on MEP and fire life safety. Harvey has also been an engineering consultant for The Roosevelt Hotel and Marx Hotel Group. Harvey has also served as the regional director of engineering at Loews Hotels.

Harvey Scher has a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from The Polytechnic Institute of New York University, a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Technology from New York Institute of Technology, and is certified by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association as a Certified Engineering Operations Executive, by the NFPA as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, and by the Project Management Institute as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Harvey also has certification from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association as a Certified Rooms Division Executive.
