About the Team

The research team works in close collaboration with our cross-functional partners to create and refine Aurora’s products. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with recognition for individual contributions. We’re looking for an experienced researcher to join our team, establishing relationships with our customers, and finding opportunities for Aurora to bring additional value to the solar lifecycle.

You will help us define our products by bringing research insights to life for product and design partners, stakeholders across go-to-market teams, and leadership. You will lead and inspire our teams to act on insights that will help accomplish our mission of creating a future of solar for all. 

About the Role

As a Senior UX researcher, you’ll be an integral part of the team and drive research that informs critical decisions across all aspects of the product. You’ll work closely with partners in product, design, engineering, customer success, marketing, and the broader business to get closer to customers and keep humans at the center of what we do.

Your Impact

  • Bring solar to more people
  • Conduct generative and evaluative research studies that shape product and business decisions
  • Advocate for research as a practice and bring insights to diverse audiences through various mediums
  • Help to maintain and refine our insights infrastructure and research governance
  • Prioritize, plan, and execute research with appropriate methodologies for maximum impact
  • Use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to accomplish our goals, including surveys, participatory research,1:1 interviews, and usability tests.
  • Translate data and insights into concrete strategy and design direction
  • Convey results and opportunities in clear, concise, and compelling ways to business stakeholders and team members

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience conducting research with proven impact, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Familiarity with recruitment, discovery, usability testing, moderation, synthesis, and socializing actionable insights
  • Knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong grasp of how to clearly, concisely, and persuasively convey research findings
  • Strong portfolio of previous work that exemplifies your impact through research
  • Passion for technology and its impact on human behavior

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in quantitative and market research
  • Masters in HCI or related field
  • Experience using and managing an insights repository such as Dovetail
  • Familiarity with Qualtrics and user testing tools.
  • Background in the solar industry
