Kevin Barry

Kevin Barry is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in computational science and engineering, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Aurora Solar since June 2021. Previous roles include a Senior Software Engineer at Google, where responsibilities encompassed team leadership and the architecture of systems for generating microservices. Kevin has also contributed as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Case Western Reserve University, specializing in cognitive science and systems engineering. In addition to technical expertise, experience in the United States Air Force includes roles in airborne operations and contract coordination. Kevin holds two Master’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and Cognitive Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and Mathematics, complemented by two associate degrees in Air and Space Operations Technology and Contracts Management from the Community College of the Air Force. Current volunteer work is with the San Diego Humane Society.
