Karen Berthiaume started their work experience in 1995 at Lake Forest College as an Alumni Programs Officer and later became an Admissions Officer. In 1998, they worked as an Admissions Counselor at Drake University. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Higher Education Consultant at PwC. Karen joined Northwestern University in 2000 as a Senior Associate Director, overseeing reunion giving campaigns and securing a $1.0 million gift.
