Laura Sauceda Lucas

Laura Sauceda Lucas serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Austin Community College since February 2023, bringing extensive experience in higher education and instructional design. With a long-standing role as an Instructor at Jazzercise Inc. since June 2006, Laura's career includes significant positions such as Learning Spaces Manager at St. Edward's University, where responsibilities involved coordinating learning space design aligned with pedagogical needs and collaborating with faculty to enhance learning experiences. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor of Student Development and Instructional Designer at Austin Community College, Product Specialist at Tk20, Inc., and Assistant Instructor at The University of Texas at Austin. Laura is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Higher Education and Leadership at St. Edward's University, building upon a Master's Degree in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Rice University.
