Shea Young

Shea Young is an experienced educator specializing in middle school mathematics, currently serving as a 7th & 8th Grade Math Teacher at Austin Independent School District since August 2021. Prior to this role, Shea taught 8th Grade Math at Adams 12 Five Star Schools and DSST Public Schools, where duties included leading curriculum development and receiving the "Rookie of the Year" award for outstanding performance. Former experience includes participation as a Corps Member with Teach For America, providing education in low-income areas, and serving as a Literacy Tutor for Colorado Reading Corps.
